Support Courses for English Learners

The following courses have no prerequisites or placement requirements. They are open to all English Learners and are offered once per year on the Pu‘uloa (Pearl City) campus. 

Fall Semester

  • ESL 10B: Essentials of English Grammar (3 credits) 
  • LSK 110: College Success Strategies (3 credits)*

*This course is also open to native English speakers.

Spring Semester

  • ESL 7B: Essentials of Speaking and Listening (6 credits) 

Summer Session II

  • ESL 1A: Foundations of English as a Second Language (6 credits) *regular tuition rate
