Under the heat of the Hawaiian afternoon sun at the corners of Atkinson Boulevard and Ala Moana Boulevard, 110 voices rose and fell with the wind that tried to steal the signs of protest out of their hands. It was a mixture of ages, races, and genders, all standing together to tell those who would listen, “Free, free Palestine! Occupation is a Crime!”

Hurricane Iselle was projected to be one of the biggest hurricanes to hit the islands since the 1990's. It caused residents from all over Hawai'i to rush to the nearest convenient stores to prepare for the worst.

I must admit, I’ve been looking forward to the sequel of “The Purge” since it premiered in 2013. Opening as No. 1 at the box office, I expected the same result for the sequel “The Purge: Anarchy”, as both films were directed by James DeMonaco.  As a follow up to last yearʻs jaw dropping madness, “The Purge: Anarchy” will keep moviegoers on the edge of their seats.

It’s hard to come by someone now a days who has not heard of George R. R. Martin or the hit series  “A Game of Thrones.” Before Martin started writing GoT’s, he was apart of another wonderful series called “Wild Cards.” This series is definitely worth picking up while waiting for Martin to release book six to his “Song of Fire and Ice” series. This series is drastically different in story set up from his popular GoT series, but lovers of Martin will enjoy this earlier work.
