KSCM Course Proposal Guide

This guide is designed to help proposers write a comprehensive course proposal. Use the links below to access instructions and examples on filling out a particular field in KSCM for course proposals. There are also navigational links at the bottom to move forward and backward between each item.

Note that all proposals must be first approved by the division, then approved and submitted by the division chair in Kuali.

Special Notes:

  • Course information is updated in the UH Leeward CC Catalog each spring before the start of the registration of the following academic year provided that all aspects of the proposal are approved before the publishing deadline of the Catalog. Most current course information will not be reflected in the Catalog if the approval comes after the publishing deadline of the Catalog.
  • If a new subject code is needed, please submit the proposal as early as possible. See field 1.2 for detail.
