  • March 15, 2017: Faculty Senate approves a Leeward CC Policy on Sharing CES Results
  • March 21, 2017: Implementation timeline postponed until Fall 2018. Changes to sharing of aggregated results will be a campus decision.
  • April 3, 2017: The planned faculty online vote to select the campus tier 1 question and to decide on whether to include an open-ended comments field was postponed on April 3rd after the committee learned that the system-wide implementation was being delayed until Fall 2018. Additionally, the March 23rd meeting of the Community College Council of Faculty Senate Chairs included discussion of common questions for the system. For these reasons, the committee decided to take a wait and see approach before taking further action.
  • November 13-17, 2017: Online voting on a common question, an open-ended comment field, and sharing of results with division chairs.
  • December 6, 2017: Ballot results shared at Faculty Senate.
  • December 13, 2017: The Ad Hoc Committee emailed Division Chairs with a request to take the decision on the sharing of CES results to their faculty. A deadline of January 19, 2018, was given to report back results to the committee. Committee members attended division meetings in January 2018 to explain CES and the sharing of results to faculty.
  • February 21, 2018: The Ad Hoc Committee reported the division results to Faculty Senate. Five divisions voted for no sharing of CES results with the Division Chair and two divisions voted for sharing of CES results for all faculty with the Division Chair.
  • May 2018: Collected existing course evaluation questions from the division for upload to an online repository accessible to all faculty.

Planned Actions in AY 2018-19

  • The Ad Hoc Committee will guide and assist the CES campus administrators with the implementation of the new system in Fall 2018 in accordance with the decisions made by the faculty.
